I designed this Fair Isle colorwork sweater with 4 leg coverings for my sweet Rescue Pup who has issues with Alopecia and skin sensitivity. Choosing a size for a dog can be tricky so I created an easy math system to make it fit any size dog.

This stylish sweater is worked in the round from the Neck until the bottom of her rib cage. It leaves openings for the front leg sleeves and two holes for a leash and back harness clasp. Then the back is worked flat until her tail. Stitches are picked up and knit in the round to create the leg sleeves.

The pattern is written in sample size (small) measurements in parentheses but provides easy fill-in-the-blank math to calculate it to custom-fit your pup. Choose whatever washable yarn is compatible with your dog’s skin sensitivity.
