The Subdued Cowl is a beginner friendly crochet cowl that is made by working stitches back and forth in rows. Once the desired length of the cowl is reached you seam the edges from the first and last rows together using a whipstitch and weave in your ends.

If you would like to make this project in a different yarn, simply crochet your chain to the width (which will end up being the height of the cowl from your neck upwards) you want and add 2 chains. Then follow the instructions for the pattern until you reach the length you want for your project. So if you like long wrap-around infinity scarves you can just keep going until you run out of yarn!

When you select your yarn and hook work up 1 or 2 hook sizes to create a relaxed fabric for your scarf. The Hygge Charm yarn I used is lovely and soft and calls for a 5.5 mm (I) hook but I went up to a 6.5 mm (K) hook because it created an even softer and more relaxed fabric with this stitch.
