Subterranean is a unisex cowl with Icord edges, suitable for teens and adults. Warm and cosy, Subterranean can be pulled up to cover the ears on super-cold days!

Knit from the bottom up in the round, using King Cole Merino Blend Aran (or equivalent aran weight yarn), Subterranean utilises a simple slip stitch pattern that in combination with three colours of yarn grows into an intricate-looking plaid pattern, but with only one colour of yarn used on each row. The pattern is easy enough for a beginner wanting to challenge themselves and add to their skills, but still provides plenty of interest for the more advanced knitter.

Using less than 100g of aran weight yarn, Subterranean makes the perfect project to use up all those little odds and ends in your stash. Try using a light coloured background with colour-popping contrast colours, or a monochromatic colour palette - Subterranean is a versatile pattern that will look fantastic however you choose to work it!

Instructions are provided in both written and charted format.

The pattern has been test knitted, and professionally tech edited.
