Although you will need to be familiar with front and back post double crochet for this pattern, the texture isn’t as hard as it looks. If you can follow a chart, you’ll be fine and the subtle diamonds make a nice accent to a winter hat.

As written, this beanie should fit the average woman and takes about a skein and a half of Glamour yarn. It can be adjusted larger without too much trouble; further details are in the pattern itself.

I do recommend either solid colors or slow-changing multi-colored yarns (as in photo 2). Extremely multi-colored yarn usually looks too messy with the front and back post double crochet.
