Use any yarn that can get a gauge of 7 stitches/10 rows per inch in stockinette on any standard gauge machine that has two beds. True double bed machines and machines with ribbers may all be used. It is not necessary to get the gauge absolutely perfect. Two sizes are given. The first fits teens and adult ladies, the one in brackets is for younger girls. The specialness of these scoodies lies in the fact that they all involve a little bit more than the basic stockinette. It may be lace, double bed work, tuck stitch or fur yarn.
