The Subtly Striped Socks are worked top down in two colors of fingering weight yarn. They feature contrasting cuffs, German short row heels, and elongated wedge toes. Instructions are given for “shortie” ankle length socks or traditional crew (mid-calf) socks.

Sizes:
S(M,L) corresponds to 7”(8”,9”) / 17.75 cm(20.25 cm,22.75 cm) circumference. All sizes can be made in ankle or crew length. Foot length is customizable.

Yarn:
Color 1: 1 skein The Fiber Co. Amble in “White Heather” (355 yds/100g)
Color 2: 1 skein West Yorkshire Spinners Exquisite 4ply in “Dusk” (437 yds/100g)

Note on yarn selection: It is not crucial for the yarns to have the same grist (length per gram) for this pattern.
