This hat starts with a unique and a bit challenging edge that you will knit flat. You will then join to knit in the round and move onto a simple but pretty lace pattern that is just a four round repeat. Then finish with the lace coming together in a neat little point.

I love this stitch pattern, I look for any opportunity to use it in my projects. Which is where the name of the hat came from - Such a Fan Hat.

This hat would work well in any cotton, wool, or wool blend DK weight yarn. The hat produced will be quite stretchy, so will fit a good range of head sizes.

Approximate finished dimensions:
8 inches high
14 inches in diameter un-stretched,
21 inches in diameter stretched.
