Suddenly Its Summer is an easy triangular crochet shawl with an open lacy design. Its made from one 400m skein of sock yarn/fingering weight yarn and is perfect for a special hand-dyed skein.

You can also make the body of the shawl using a main skein and add the border in a contrasting colour using a mini skein. The two border rows use approximately 8g of fingering weight yarn.

The shawl can be made larger by adding extra lace repeats and extra sections if required. Note that this will change the amount of yarn needed.

The pattern is featured in Episode 119 of the Crafternoon Treats podcast where you can find more about the background of its design.

The pattern contains a link to a complete video tutorial providing an overview of the shawl construction, details on how to work the first section and border and information on blocking.
