A simple beanie style hat, suitable for beginner knitters, with a ribbed band and the main body is stocking stitch. It is a very flexible pattern to adjust to the sizes you need, it uses less than a ball of wool (100g) so is great for a destash project! This pattern uses double knit wool. The pattern is for an average size women’s hat but can be adjusted up and down. Adjust up and down by 4 stitches (make sure your cast on number is divisible by 4). Adjusting the cast on will mean you need to adjust your decrease for the crown as well. Suggestions for casts on for different sizes and wool weights will be included at the bottom.
