Pattern Notes
The main body of this jumper is knitted in one piece commencing at the lower back with a provisional cast on. At the shoulders the work is separated and the two front sections knitted independently from the top down. The garment uses a combination of Fair Isle and Intarsia. Once the main body is complete the sleeves are picked up and knitted downwards - these are also knitted flat. The next step involves picking up stitches around the lower sections of the body and knitting the deep welt in the round using Fair Isle technique. This is repeated for the cuffs.A choice of yarn weights is provided so the knitter can opt to knit either a heavier or lighter weight version of the garment. Charts plus written instructions are provided for each size. The sample shown in the photographs is the heavyweight version, in the third size worn with 15cm (6in) of positive ease. It is suggested you choose a size with between 4-10cm (1.5-4in) of positive ease at the chest.
