Sugar Maple Shawl
There’s nothing quite as Canadian as Maple Syrup. Except hockey…and beer…and Tim Hortons.
Anyhow, last year, I read a story out of Quebec that blew my mind.
Someone stole 20 million dollars worth of maple syrup from a Montreal warehouse. TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS. That’s SIXTEEN THOUSAND 45-gallon barrels.
A lot of flippin’ pancakes!
With great reverence to this liquid gold lost, I created this shawl.
A little piece of lace.
A little piece of Canada.
