Inspired by the season and named for the Sugar Moon, the Full of the month of March. The sap bubbling up in sugar maple trees will yield its sweet treat. It is a time of A time of new beginnings, miracles and magic!

Knit cuff down in Magic Loop method with heel flap and gusset, this pattern features a very easy to knit (and easy to memorize) decorative petite cable lace detail worked down the front of the leg of each sock. Easily adaptable for knitting with DPNS. Includes a chart for the lace motif for easy reference, as well as written step-by-step directions. I created a special heel for these socks, my Purl Rib Heel Flap. Instructions for a simple Wedge Toe are given in this pattern, but feel free to use your favorite toe (or heel) constructions. With a combination of simple and step-up stitches, this pattern is ideal for adventurous beginner sock knitters, but also enjoyable for knitters with experience who enjoy lace knitting. I have knit the model socks in a deliciously soft alpaca-wool blend, but use your favorite 4 ply/fingering weight sock yarn. A solid or tonal/semi-solid color yarn looks very attractive for this design, but also well suited for the special gently speckled yarns. Several sizes to choose from!
