This is a beginner level pattern using a range of simple stitches and an opportunity to learn new techniques. This collar can be made with scraps of yarn and works up quickly. This pattern featured in issue 90 of Crochet Now magazine.
Supplies:
• 4mm crochet hook
• Yarn used: Rowan Handknit Cotton, 1 ball of each: Raspberry 356 (A), Forest 370 (B), Linen 205 (C), Sugar 303 (D), Ice Water 239 (E)
• DK, 85m per 50g ball, 100% cotton
• This project could be made with scraps of leftover yarn of a similar type. The approx. amounts used per yarn are:
(A) – 6g
(B) – 24g
(C) – 6g
(D) –20g
(E) –17g
• 2 stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
Pattern Notes:
• Gauge – 10cm x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) measured over tr = 15 sts x 7 rows
Finished collar measures approx.
• depth = approx. 11.5cm / 4.5 inches
• length = approx. 99cm excluding ties / 39 inches
