Sugar Skull Hearts
Sugar Skull- Hearts is the first in a series in which I wanted to capture iconic images that are part of my cultural heritage. Though they are usually associated mainly with Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, you can see these images year round throughout my city- and in my home!
This pattern is worked in the mosaic overlay technique, which uses only single and double crochet stitches worked on the front side.
Any size hook and any yarn can be used, and the repeat section is (110 +3).
In the example pictured, I used aran (4 weight) yarn and a 3.5 mm to create a finished product sized: 34” x 34”.
This listing includes:
-
chart marked with Xs for mosaic crochet (in pink/light
blue) -
written instructions for every row of the pattern
-
blown up chart cut in fourths for those who solely use
the graph sections (also in pink and light blue
Thanks so much for looking and Happy Crocheting!
