Celebrate the Day of the Dead with this pretty crocheted Sugar Skull Mask! This pattern requires joining motifs together, with a joining picot, as you work through the directions.
CROCHET PATTERN
Skill Level: Intermediate
Yarn: Aunt Lydia’s Size 10 Cotton Crochet Thread;
WHITE – less than 100 yards
BLACK – less than 50 yards
CARDINAL – less than 50 yards
AQUA – less than 20 yards
GOLD –less than 5 yards
Hook: Steel Hook Size 1.00mm
Size: Adult, stretches for fit
Measurements: 7.5 width x 4.5 inches height un-stretched
Gauge: Not important, as long as using small steel crochet hook and keeping tension from being loose
Stitches Used:
Ch-Chain
Sc=Single Crochet
Dc=Double Crochet
Sl St-Slip Stitch
Special Stitches Used:
Picot=ch3, slip stitch in 1st ch
Joining Picot= ch1, sc in corresponding picot, ch1, sl st in first ch
