Sugar, Sugar Shawl
Sugar, Sugar Shawl PDF (instant-download), inspired by Strawberry Sugar Wafers and named after the song by the Archies!
The shawl is fun, unique and I can’t wait to make it in more sizes and colors!
It is made in one piece and color changes are easy. The outer portions represent the wafers of a strawberry sugar wafer and on the inside you have alternating cream and wafer sections like in an actual sugar wafer.
The level of this pattern is advanced beginner to intermediate. There are clear instructions, pictures throughout PLUS a bonus stitch guide at the end that covers each stitch used with step by step photos.
Stitches used are sc, hdc, and fphdc - all clearly explained in the pattern - you’ve got this!
Most of the shawl (the wafer portions) are made by repeating a set of only TWO rows so you’ll get a hang of it in no time! The middle portion, representing what’s in the middle of the wafers is just sc and hdc rows!
Size is customizable! To change the length, just chain until you reach the length desired using the multiple given in the pattern. To change the width, just work more or less repeat rows on each half of the wafer! If you need help, just reach out!
BONUS: The Sugar, Sugar Scarf Crochet pattern (a wafer-only version of this pattern requiring only 2 hanks of DK yarn) comes free as a PDF-instant download with the purchase of this pattern!

I also plan to make this shawl in sock weight in the future and will update the pattern with specifics once I do!
