A quick knit hat that makes use of silk/mohair in a unique way! The all-over pattern is created with slipped stitches, forming a subtle dot-and-dash motif.

CONSTRUCTION: A long brim that can be doubled is worked first before the hat transitions into an easy-to-memorize slipped stitch pattern. Crown shaping is worked into the
stitch pattern so it continues uninterrupted to the crown.

SIZES: XS (S, M, L) to fit Kids (Adult S, Adult M, Adult L); finished unstretched brim circumference of 14 (16, 18, 20)”/ 35.5 (40.5, 45.5, 51) cm

YARN:
Main color: Hobbii Upcycled Alpaca Blend, 34% acrylic, 33% alpaca, 33% wool, 218 yd/3.5 oz (200 m/100 g): 1 (1, 1, 2) ball(s) in Pomegranate or approx. 150 (180, 210, 250) yds worsted weight yarn.

Contrast color (held double throughout): Hobbii Friends Kid Silk, 72% mohair, 25% silk, 3% wool, 218 yd/1 oz (200 m/25 g): 1 ball in Rosewood or approx. 50 (75, 105, 135) yd laceweight mohair silk
The CC is held double with itself in this pattern. You can fairly easily pull from both ends of a ball of silk mohair, but you may prefer to purchase 2 balls or to wind a single ball into 2 separate balls for ease of use.
