Sugarplum Cozy Cardigan
This sweater is insanely soft and comfortable, and in these pastel colors, it could almost double as a robe! It works up very quickly, and the Hygge yarn from Red Heart was really easy to work with. The shaping is done easily by switching from a larger hook to a smaller one partway through, and the sleeves are crocheted right onto the body of the sweater - no need to make extra panels to sew on. The little tie at the front is optional. I just made a chain about 26” long, slipped it through the holes, and tied it into a bow - easy, peasy!
You will need 5 skeins of Hygge yarn in Powder, and 1 skein of Hygge yarn in Pearl.
The gauge is 10 sts & 7 rows = 4” for the K hook, and 8 sts & 6 rows = 4’“ for the L hook.
This sweater is one size. The back panel is 30” long and 23” wide at the bottom, and approximately 20” wide at the top - the sweater flares at the bottom. Each front panel is approximately 15” wide at the bottom, and 10” wide at the top. I think it could be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the size of the panels.
