With a stitch pattern that is both entertaining to knit and show-stopping in its results, Sugarplum is a delightful project that will draw you in right away. It features a crescent shape with garter stitch ridges and stockinette stitch “plums” knit in cozy, worsted weight yarn. The texture is almost irresistible; I had a hard time putting it down (I bet you will, too).

Sugarplum is knit from side to side, beginning with the top left corner in garter stitch and ending with the picot bindoff in the contrast color. You’ll love the way the little plums form—they grow over seven rows, then “close” on the eighth row with swift decreases.
