Items needed: crochet hook; body color yarn (here turquoise); mane color yarn (here purple); white yarn; headdress color yarn (here dark blue); scarps of felt for eyes; wire or pipe cleaners for tails; stuffing; tapestry needle

sc- single crochet; st(s)- stitch(es); dec- decrease over the the next two stitches; inc- increase in next stitch; hdc- half double crochet; ch- chain; magic circle- google ‘crochet magic circle’ if you don’t know how to;

short rounds- I’m not sure how widely known these are, nor if ‘short round’ is the correct way to refer to them; but these are used extensively in the mane, in order to make the waves. You crochet the stated amount, ignoring the other stitches, until the end of the short round. Then, you pick up the left stitches as the pattern says. I’m sure that that isn’t very clear, but just ask and I’ll try to fix it up.
