Suit No. 1 - for business and for fun, a day at the office, an evening in town, dress up with a blouse or down with a top, wear boots or high heels, anything goes. Elegant, yet informal. Suit No. 1 is suitable for all occasions.
Both jacket and skirt are worked top-down and length of body, sleeves and skirt can easily be adjusted to personal measurements.
Sizes: 36 (38, 40)
Will fit bust size 86 (90, 94) cm / 34 (35.5, 37) inches
and hip size 94 (98, 102) cm / 37 (38.5, 40) inches.
Sample is shown in size 36 on bust size 86 cm and hip size 94 cm.
JACKET
Finished measurement:
bust circumference 92 (96, 100) cm / 36.5 (38, 39.5) inches
length from shoulder to hem 51 (51.5, 52) cm
length from under arm to hem 32 cm
sleeve length from under arm 45 cm
SKIRT
Finished measurements:
waist 77 (81, 85) cm / 30.5 (32, 33.5) inches before fitting in an elastic corresponding to personal waist
hip 93 (97, 101) cm / 36.75 (38.25, 39.5) inches
length from top of waist to hem 50 cm
Accessories:
7 buttons, size 15 mm diameter for jacket.
Waist length of 2 cm wide elastic for skirt waist.
Yarn:
DK weight.
The sample was knit using Rowan Felted Tweed DK (50 g = 175 m) in Seafarer and Clay.
Jacket: MC 300 (300, 350) g / 1050 (1050, 1225) m, CC 50 g / 175 m
Skirt: MC 200 (200, 250) g / 700 (700, 875) m, CC 50 g / 175 m
If you knit both jacket and skirt you only need 50 g / 175 m in CC.
Gauge:
22 sts and 32 rows/rounds = 10 cm in stocking stitch.
25 sts = 10 cm in Bouclé pattern.
Needle size 3.5 mm.
