Suit Yourself
Grab a skein of a fingering weight yarn for your border, a palette of colors of fingering yarn for your canvas, and your mind’s eye to arrange the colors! This bordered parallelogram is your personal expression of beauty. The seed stitch edge sets off the stockinette stitch center to let the colors shine. The weave-as-you-go method reduces the finishing work so you can wear your masterpiece immediately! The beauty of Suit Yourself lies in that YOU decide! Whatever strikes your fancy…Suit Yourself!
Pattern easily adjusted if you have more or less of the contrast colors. Use all your leftovers and just add the color to Suit Yourself as you work through other projects!
Pictured projects use 210 yards of main color for border and 590 yards of contrast colors (one Canon Hand Dyes Downton Abbey set or 2 assorted sets of 15 colors) As written, final measurements are 13” wide by 76” long.
Shawl cuff is by TheRustedStitch
Errata issued 3/15/20.
The edges are all worked in stockinette stitch on each side while the top and bottom are in seed stitch. The pattern has been corrected to reflect the inconsistency.
