Sukhasana Blanket
If you want to make yourself something special that won’t take you forever try out this blanket pattern. The repetition of the knit stitch is like going back and forth between down-dog and child’s pose. It seems simple enough, and like it could be mindless. But it has the power to quiet your mind, and soothe your body. After a few minutes of knitting this project I found my mood shift to one of contentment and joy. You don’t need to do something complicated to make something beautiful.
This is a great project for someone brand new to knitting because all you do is knit every row until you run out of yarn. Knitting every row is called Garter Stitch. .
Sukhasana is a cross legged seated position in yoga. This pose is a great way to sit and knit or meditate, and now you will have the perfect yoga blanket to keep you warm as you do either!
We would love to see a picture of your finished Blanket. So, snap a pic and share it on Instagram. Tag @raglineknits in the photo for a chance to be featured on our site!
