Sulas Cowl
Please enjoy this free pattern. My enjoyment comes from knitting/creating and giving back a little something to the knitting community. If you would like to support the creation of future patterns, please consider making a small contribution via Paypal to: Paypal.me/Viktionary
Contributions go towards purchasing yarn for future designs and the occasional Earl Grey latte to keep the fires of creativity fueled. Regardless of whether you contribute or not, thank you for your support and kind words on my patterns.
I wanted a textured motif with knit and purl stitches only – something easy to knit but which also held my interest. I came up with this motif with knit columns and sections of reverse stockinette alternating with sections of double moss stitch. The resulting pattern looks like furrowed fields, so I called it Sulas which is Old English for “a measure of land; a furrow”.
