These bloomers are knitted in the round with ribbing between the legs to give a little more stretching room for bulky diapers. The waist and legs are edged with ribbing in a contrasting color to keep them snug.

I used a crochet hook to start the edging, but it could be done without for those who are strictly knitters.

My pattern was made to fit a rather large one year old, but could be adjusted pretty easily to fit a baby of a different size.
