Your size’s choice should be based on finished chest measurements as you can shorten/lengthen body and sleeves length if needed. Age label is just there to give a reference. Measure your child’s chest while wearing normal clothes (or clothes intended to be worn with the cardigan) and pick a finished garment size taking in consideration the amount of ease you wish to have.

• 210 (225, 300, 315, 325//360, 415, 475, 550) yards of sport weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ (or bigger) circular needle and double pointed needles (DPNs) US # 4 (3.5 mm) or any size required to obtain the stockinette stitch gauge
• Other: stitch markers, stitch holders, 8 buttons (0.5-0.75’’)
