“The soft texture look” in a lace blouse from Stitchcraft, June 1961.

To fit two sizes: 32-33 or 35-36 inch bust. Uses 5 (6) ounces of Patons Beehive Fingering, 3-ply. Suggested colour: “Citron Yellow 1142”. Length from top of shoulders, 19 (20) inches. Uses No 10 (3 1/4 mm) and size 12 (2 3/4 mm) needles.

The gauge is “equivalent to a basic tension of 7 1/2 sts and 9 1/2 rows to an inch over stockinette stitch on No. 10 needles”.

The lace pattern is over a multiple of 12 stitches and 36 rows. Edgings are garter-stitch strips sewn on. The pattern is written only (no chart) and meant to be made in separate pieces (front, back, edgings) and sewn together.
