Note
Short socks knitted from the toe up with short-row heel. Beginning with Judy’s magic Cast On, toe is worked with increases followed by 20 rounds of instep in lace pattern and sole in St st. After only sole stitches are worked to created arch and then heel is created using short row technique, stitches are picked up from the edges of arch to work sides of shock in the round.
A two-purl stitch line in the middle of the sole makes the socks more elastic and snugger.

Note
つま先から編む短い靴下. Judy’s magic Cast On を用いて作り目し, つま先を編んだ後, 甲を模様編み, 足裏をメリヤス編みで 20 周編む. 続けて足裏のみを往復編みし, 引き返し編みでかかとを編む. 足裏の往復編み部分のサイドから目を拾い, 甲の目を合わせて輪で足と履き口を編む. 足裏中央の裏目 2 目によって, より足にフィットする仕上がりになる.
