This project is perfect for using a variety of yarns to really get a feel for color and texture.
The multi yarn sample took 54g Uchiwa, 31g Yukata and 37g Sonata.
You may use any yarn in any section, though I knit with Yukata ( a color shifting/ stripe yarn) for rows 1-12 each repeat, and Sonata (solid) for rows 13 -24 and Uchiwa ( tweed) for rows 25-36.
The first and last three stitches of every row are knit.
Increases are worked every row at the edges and every right side row along the center stitch. 6 sts are increased every 2 rows.
