Summer Breeze MKAL
This crescent shaped shawl was inspired by a dream of leaves drifting in a soothing summer breeze. The swoops and swirls would not leave my mind’s eye until I drafted the pattern. The lace I ended up with reminds me of an inverted candle flame lace my grandmother used to make me skirts as a child. This pattern is good for someone familiar with the basics of lace-work. There are no written instructions for the charts.
Starts May 25, 2015
Note: Gauge is not critical to this project, but be aware that it blocks out large. If you would like a smaller shawl, the best method would be to go down in needle size and even use a lace weight yarn with size 2 ½ and 4 needles in place of sizes suggested.
Finished Measurements: 62 in (157.5 cm) wide x 34 inches (86.5 cm) from nape to border edge in center back
Note: the more elastic your fiber the larger your shawl will block out.
