Summer by the Pond (Kids)
My kids’ school started yesterday, and it kind of abruptly ended the summer for me. I really don’t like it when school starts before September. So, I’m making the Summer by the Pond (Kids) mitten pattern FREE, no coupons, no purchase of other patterns required. Just enjoy a little more of the summer.
The sample mittens were made with Sandnes Garn Tove and US 1 ½ (2.5mm) size needles.
The mittens are 50 stitches and 56 rows (without ribbing). With featured yarn and needles, the mittens will measure approx. 10 cm from thumb opening to the tip and should fit a 4-6 year old child. The size can be adjusted by using thicker/thinner yarn and needles.
You will need about 56-60g total:
dark blue (color of ribbing) - 10g
light blue - 2g
dark green - 2g
light green - 1g
black - 13g
light gray (BC color) - 28g
Plus small amount of red for the mushroom tops and some more green for the frogs.
Mittens and pictures are by Mitt. Thank you very much, Marit!!!
