DK Knitted Can Koozies Set of five Summer Knitting Patterns

Here you will find five patterns to create your own set of Fruity Koozies. These refreshing designs make a great novelty gift, and are easily worked over a few evenings or a lazy Sunday using very little yarn.
Make these super little Koozies for a loved one (or yourself!), to keep cans cool and fingers warm.

This summery pattern uses just simple knit and purl stitches throughout to give gorgeous texture and edging effects.

Materials:

3mm straight needles (UK) & yarn needle
DK coloured yarn for all as required (see list below)

Abbreviations:
K = Knit
P = Purl
Sts = Stitches
St-st = Stocking Stitch (K1 row, P 1 row)
Gt-st = Garter Stitch (K all rows)
B&T = Break & Tie (break yarn, pull through sts one by one, and draw tightly)
Tog = together (i.e. knit two stitches together to create one & reduce stitches on row)
Inc = Increase (i.e knit twice into same stitch, to create an extra st).
Stitches in brackets (..) mean repeat bracketed stitches until end of row

Colours;
Watermelon = Coral, white, green.
Lemon = Yellow, lime green.
Orange = Orange, lime green.
Strawberry = Red, yellow, green
Blackberry = Purple, Green

All can be made from cost effective 25 g DK toy yarn balls, and using oddments for smaller features:

These Koozies will fit the taller can sized 15cm & the smaller can sized 11.5cm as a universal piece. They also fit tumblers and bottles of the same diameter of a standard can ❤️
