I live with my family in the southern part of Sweden. Our house is located out in the countryside which gives me a great opportunity to experience the colors and scents of all the seasons. The nature has been an inspiration to me for a very long time and now I have created the idea to make knitted works based on our four seasons. The summer bring various colors in the nature. By this shawl you can let yourself be inspired by all the summer colors that surrounds you.

This shawl is knitted in stockinette brioche using five different colors. The work starts off with only one color, after a while however one color at a time is added until all five of them are used together. Only one color is used for each row. The shawl is completed with a ruffle edge in moss brioche stitch and another ruffle edge in pearl brioche stitch.

Finished Measurements: 128 cm/ 50.5“ wingspan length, 40 cm/ 16” wide measured along center triangular tip. Measurements taken after blocking.

Gauge
20 sts/ 10cm / 4” in stockinette brioche after blocking.

Needles:
3.25 mm/US 3 and 4.0 mm/US 6 circular needle, at least 100 cm,
