Summer Daydreams Gauntlets
Gauntlets are a great first fingerless mitt style pattern. A new knitter will not have to fiddle with getting the thumb gusset right, because these don’t have a thumb! This project is wonderful for practicing your knitting in-the-round. I suggest magic loop which is my favorite way to make these small projects. This pattern is quick to knit up, the yarn is budget friendly, and widely available in popular craft stores. Easily customize this project by knitting them longer or shorter. This is a great way to practice getting two separate smaller projects to match up both in terms of tension and in length.
The one size in the pattern will fit pretty much everybody except for the super petite or very, very big boned. My model is 6’2” and they fit him as well as they fit me (I’m 5’6”). One skein of the recommended yarn will easily knit this project with some leftovers.
This wool comes in so many colors! From neutral grey and black to hot pink. I loved the sunny yellow, and thought it was perfect for chilly spring walks.
I have a full blog post on this pattern, and you can download the full 4 page pdf pattern from the post.
You can see them in action in my video podcast. They appear at 10:30 (just in case you don’t want to watch the whole thing, but why wouldn’t you want to watch the whole thing???)

If you love the bright, colorful Super Scarf that I paired with the Gauntlets, you can find that pattern here.
