Summer Dreams Shawl
Summer in Alaska, we dream for sunny days, blue sky, puffy white clouds, bluebells and purple lupines. So happy when it happens!
This lovely Faroese inspired design stays nicely on the shoulders; the ends tie up neatly out of the way if needed or try wearing it with a sweater clip. It is quick, knit top down with a garter stitch collar which transitions to stockinette for the shoulders, showcasing lovely handpainted yarns; the delicate lace adds interest and enchantment. Both sections can easily be customized to the length you wish. An optional beaded edge can be added for glitter!
Shawl is shown in fingering/sock weight yarn, but lighter or heavier weights can be used, adjust needles accordingly.
For another lovely shawlette with similar lace repeat but a very different construction, look at the Crocus Shawlette by Rose Beck.
