Summer Flight Shawl
I designed Summer Flight during the Covid-19 Quarantine. I remember thinking so many times how lovely it would be to just fly away. The pattern reminds of feathers on wings.
I made the sample with Lion Brand’s Shawl in a Cake, colorway “Moonstone”. Lion Brand lists it as weight 4, and Ravelry lists it as an Aran weight. However, the yards per gram: 321 yds per 100 g lists it more as a Sport/DK weight. For a shawl that is similar to the sample, I would use a DK weight yarn. For something lacier, use Sport or even Fingering, for something heavier, you could use a worsted weight yarn – all while achieving the same gauge. Testers used Sport, Fingering, and DK to achieve different sizes.
