Summer Halter
I have probably said before that I like to “wear what I knit.” But for summer, this can be a bit of a challenge. However, knit in a cool fibre—like cotton—this sleeveless garment, with its halter neck and deep armhole, is something we can produce and wear, even on the hottest days.
It shares similarities with another pattern of mine—the Back-Panel top—with its A-line shape, halter neckline, and buttoned back panel. But it also has the following differences: this is done with doubled sport-weight yarn (so a faster knit), in stockinette (so an easier knit than the lace of that other top), and with shaped hems (shorter front, longer back—both flattering and not easily done in a lace stitch pattern).
It can, of course, be worn in cooler weather with a top underneath. Bonus!
And you could make this to dress length! How lovely would that be!
