I love summer yarns – linens, cottons, bamboo & silk but the small needle size, bottom up or the dreaded knit in pieces – has left me with a healthy but unproductive summer yarns stash and many WIPs (works in progress) that hibernate till next spring before they become FO (finished objects). BUT I really wanted a tank THIS SUMMER – so after some serious consideration I created the Summer Love Tank! It meets all my requirements – topdown, beautiful summer yarns and when I am done knitting – it’s ready to wear!

The Summer Love tank can be knit in a DK weight yarn or by stranding a combination of fingerings yarns or fingering and lace yarns to get gauge. There are two body options that address the different structure of summer yarns and personal preferences:

Option A Tiger Lily (plum brown & orange tanks) –- Subtle Elegance offers a hint of an A-line that is perfect for the structured nature of linens and some cottons.

Option B Daisy (yellow tank) –-Flirty Flare is a fuller A-line that will allow silks, pima cottons and bamboo yarns to drape, flow and swish with ease.
