The Summer Olive is a relaxed fit sleeveless pullover knitted as top-down. First start the left and right back shoulders with Provisional-Cast-On separately, later connecting the center back, then begin the each front shoulder. Then begin knitting the body in the stockinette stitch and button bands in seed stitch at the same time. Joining the front and back at the underarms, continue knitting the body in the stockinette stitch. There are also Eyelet stitch at both sides of the body. Hem line is knitted the garter stitch, finished with Picot-Bind-Off. This tops is cropped length, but how to adjust the body length to your preference is described in the pattern. The fit and the lines of this pullover are created by using German Short row throughout the shoulders and hems.
Note: Only the garter stitch and lace stitch of shoulders are knitted with the yarn held double.

Approx 980 m light fingering weight yarn.

Needles
US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles, 40” (100 cm) long for the body. US 3 (3.25 mm) circular needles, 40” (100 cm) long for the hem and Picot-Bind-Off. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

22 stitches & 30 rows in 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch on the larger needle, after blocking.

Summer Oliveはトップダウンで編むゆとりのあるノースリーブプルオーバーです. Provisional-Cast-Onを使用して左右それぞれの後ろ肩から開始し, 背中心で接続, 次に各前肩を開始します. ガーターステッチと肩のレースステッチは、糸を2本どりで編みます. 同時にStockinette stitchとseed stitchのボタンバンドで身体を編み始めます.（ここから糸は1本どりです） 脇の下で前と後ろを結合します. 身体の両側にはアイレットステッチが入ります. 裾はガーター編みで, Picot-Bind-Offを用いて仕上げます. このトップはクロップド丈ですが, 長さを好みに合わせる方法はパターンに記載されています. また、各ショルダーと裾にGerman Short-rowを用いてシルエットを形成しています.

YOTH Yarns Best Friend (503 m per 100 g) を2枷使用. 約 980 m のlight fingering くらいの太さのゲージが取れる糸. 但し, 見本はクロップド丈なので長めに編む方は多めにご用意ください.
