Summer Roses Tea Cosy
A gorgeous hand knitted tea cosy with crocheted flowers and knitted leaves. A bit of summer for your teapot all year around.
Made on 2 needles in Stocking stitch and seamed with openings left for the spout and handle. Colours for the cosy and flowers can be chosen to suit your decor.
50g of DK yarn is needed for the cosy and approx 12g for each flower and the leaves.I make the flowers in cotton yarn as I like the contrast between the merino wool and the cotton but this cosy can be made entirely in wool.
This tea cosy featured in the Sunday Express magazine in May 2012 in an article about tea cosies and was the only knitted one selected.
This pattern is made to fit a 4-6 cup teapot.
