Summer Sherbet Sweater
Summer is the time for cool, loose tops that allow (and hopefully create) breezes as they move around the body. So pull out the cotton, linen, or blends and get started on a simple, feminine top that knits up quickly and equally well in all those fibers! Started at the top and knitted down to the lace edging, short sleeves and a perky collar add lovely details, but little knitting time.
Knitting from the top allows you to fit as you go, trying on as necessary. While this pattern is written for medium and large sizes with some negative ease to allow for the stretchy nature of summer fibers, a small version can be easily made by reducing the total cast-on by 18 stitches. Length alterations are easily seen by trying on as you go!
