Summer Simplicity
The idea behind our Summer Simplicity pattern was to create a design that was simple and fun to knit and yet held your interest. Something that you could take along with you if you’re travelling this summer. Something that you can sit and knit at the beach or during an evening with friends or watching tv. Something that would be fun for both a beginner and a more experienced knitter. It doesn’t require a lot of counting and uses simple yarnovers to create increases. And the border is knit on as you go. No picking up stitches.
The body is knit in garter stitch and the pattern offers you two options for your border, either Garter stitch - which we found perfect for highlighting a variegated yarn such as Madelinetosh Sock, OR a Wave Lace border - our shop sample features the beautiful Watercolors II yarn from local dyer extraordinaire, Karen Maag-Tonchak, aka The Periwinkle Sheep, in the colorway “Orchid”.
We hope you enjoy this Warm Ewe pattern! It has been test knitted several times and every effort has been made to ensure there are no mistakes in the pattern, but if you do find an error or have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
