Summer Sky Socks
The pattern itself is a basic toe-up pattern with a cable and lace panel in the middle that is easily memorized. The panel itself was taken from a stitch dictionary I bought in the 1980’s. I converted it to be charted and written and updated the decreases. After almost finishing the test socks I discovered this same panel in a recent knitting magazine, but I’ve not seen it on any other socks. The cuff also flows up from the panel, having a varying number of ribs on the front.
The pattern easily lends itself to knitting the leg up until you run short on yarn.
