If you use these artisan soaps at home or love to give them as gifts, you may wish to have a few crochet soap savers on hand. They make it easy to hang the soap to dry, are exfoliating, look pretty, and help to keep them just a little bit longer.

This Summer Soap Saver is light and lacy and it can be made in an afternoon! It requires a little bit of cotton yarn. At the top I have added a drawstring to make it easier to insert the bar of soap and then hang.

Gauge: 20 sts x 20 rows of sc = 4 inches

Finished Size: Approximately 4 x 6 inches laid flat. The bar of soap shown in the bag is about 3.5 x 5 inches with a depth of 3/4 inch.

Yarn: 24/7 Cotton by Lion Brand® (186 yds/170 m; 100g/3.5 oz; 100% cotton; (4) worsted weight). You will need approximately 50 yards/soap saver.


Hook: Size G/6 (4 mm) hook.
