Summer Soiree is an easy-to-knit and easy-to-wear lightweight sweater. It has a wide neck and is fitted through the chest, but then gently widens toward the bottom to float away from the waist and hips. It is knit entirely in one piece, with no seaming, and only requires a few stitches to be picked up at each underarm.

The sweater was designed to show off fun speckled or variegated yarns paired with a complementary or contrasting solid, but creativity rules, so you can use any yarn that makes you happy. Try it all in solid, or leave out the contrast and make it all in speckles… Individuality is my favorite aspect of knitting!

Summer Soiree is sized from 28” to 48” bust circumference, with a close fit (no ease) at the bust.

Yarn: 695 (820, 945, 1085, 1250, 1430) yards/635 (750, 865, 990, 1145, 1310) meters fingering weight; 550 (650, 750, 860, 990, 1130) yards/ 500 (600, 690, 790, 910, 1040) meters MC; 145 (170, 195, 225, 260, 300) yards /135 (155, 180, 205, 240, 275) meters CC*** yardage based on long torso – less required if shorter
