Summer Striped Socklet
This fun, fast summer socklet includes a few unusual twists. Use two contrasting yarns to make some color fun! Either use two solid yarns or sub one for a nearly-solid to get a bit of texture.
My test knitter decided she would like her colors reversed on the second sock. This pleases me, but the choice is yours!
The stripe accent yarn would be a great use for the leftovers from a previous pair!!!
The Square-Start Swirl toe is fun and easy. the afterthought heel is decreased in a swirl as well. The heel is more roomy than a lot of other afterthought heels out there. It looks unusual off of the foot, but the proof is in the wearing!!!
(Note, the purple sock was a prototype. Toe/cuff are just as specified in pattern. The pink sock has the swirl heel actually specified in the pattern.)
Errata: The version out between 6-16 and 6-18-10 indicated that the heel was to be knit from Contrast Color/CC. Version B, released 6/19, 1pm EDT, corrected this to MC.
