Summer Sunset Shrug
This quick to knit summer shrug is great for beginners and advanced knitters alike. It’s designed by Roni Halloran for Row House. It’s knit with 2 strands of Erika Knight Studio Linen held together on big needles allowing for a lacy and subtle color change throughout. Alternately, you can choose a single color if you prefer.
Our Tutorial Design will teach you how to knit, using our skills videos, and you’ll learn knitting basics. You do not need any previous knitting experience.
It’s available as a pattern or a kit, you choose.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS:
26 1/2 (28, 29 1/2, 31 1/4)“ tall by 41 1/4 (45 1/2, 49 3/4, 54 1/4)” long, elbow to elbow. The knitted fabric is very loose and flexible, so measuring can be challenging.
GAUGE:
10 stitches & 13 rows = 4” in garter stitch with two strands held together, although matching gauge exactly isn’t necessary for this project. The knitted fabric is very loose and flexible, which can make measuring gauge challenging.
MATERIALS:
Any DK weight yarn; we recommend Erika Knight Studio Linen. Throughout the pattern, you’ll use 2 strands of yarn held together. In Studio Linen, you’ll need 3 (3, 4, 4) skeins of color A, 3 (4, 4, 5) skeins of color B, and 2 (2, 3, 3) skeins of color C. Our models are in the 41 1/4” size.
