I designed this pattern as I needed a pair of basic ankle socks to wear with my hiking shoes in summer.
I used Aestiva yarn because of its blend of wool and linen, very suitable fibers in summer weather: the foot does not sweat and it remains protected and comfortable in the closed shoe.

Is it possible to double leg hem length to fold it down: original sample needed only 32g of yarn in the larger size.
