This pattern is for a drawstring bag. First you’ll make the body of the bag out of white, green and red yarn, with spaces towards the top to weave the strings into. Then you’re going to make some simple drawstrings to weave through the spaces in the body of the bag. You’ll also have to make little black stitches in the red part of the bag, for the “seeds” of the watermelon.

The materials you’ll need are:

1. Medium weight yarn in red (about 250 yds), green (about 150 yds), white, and black (less than 100 yds each)

2. Size G (4.25 mm) crochet hook

3. Stitch marker

4. Scissors and yarn needle
