Yarn: Pattern recommends #5 thread. It’s strong and durable, keeps its shape well even after much use, has a lovely sheen, and shows stitches with crisp definition. Or use your favorite fingering weight yarn.

Materials: 1.65mm hook, scissors, hair elastic/pony-tail holder, sharp needle for sewing on elastic.
